A Creatively designed arrangment of traditional asanas, poses are held for several minutes at a time in order to the stretch the connective tissue around the joints. By tapping in to our connective tissue we discover subtle energy channels in the body.

This practice trains us in the habit of slowing down, paying attention and listening. Listening to our body, to our mind, and to our spirit enables us an opportunity to add to our practice of yoga. An excellent compliment to any hatha practice. Appropriate for all level yoga practitioners.

Peter Palladino will be teaching R&R at 11:00 am from Monday 8th February onwards.

Peter encourages students to use the time on the mat to give back to themselves as a whole: challenging the body to advance, but also nurturing the body; challenging the ego, and rewarding the soul. He believes the physical practice is a tool to see your true self- and the reward is enjoying that same self off the mat.

We do have mat rentals for $2 and sell UFit towels for $40.
A towel is MANDATORY if you are renting a mat, no exceptions.
All of our mats are eco friendly steamed cleaned after every use.
We sell water on premises


What is hot yoga ?

Hot yoga is simply practising yoga in a heated room.The heat allows you to go a little more deeply and safely into the postures, so you know you’re really warming up the muscles and you can really approach the postures from a safe place. It helps the body relax, improves breathing and focuses the mind, which develops better mental concentration.

At Awaken Hot yoga studio the intention is to follow the traditions of yoga but also to incorporate deeper faster paced classes for those who wish to push their practice further. The flow of our classes at Awaken Hot Yoga builds heat in the body, the heat not only makes this a cardiovascular practice, it also rids the body of toxins, cleanses the nervous system and brings the Samskara's ( negative patterns of emotions or behaviour) to the surface with an undeniable transparency. This is the beauty of hot yoga a dynamic shifter of energy, an unrivalled balancer of physical strengths, weaknesses and a powerful mirror to the inner self.

We all have different needs on why we choose to practice our yoga and on any given day our bodies and minds will have different responses and reactions from what life throws at us. Awaken Hot Yoga classes are designed to fit any given day and any given mood. From fundamental postures in warm yoga to faster paced sequences in hotflow, our classes will suit all levels of practice, empowering your mind body and spirit.

Our goal at Awaken Hot Yoga is to make practicing yoga as stress free as possible. We have both a men’s and women’s locker room equipped with multiple showers, ample space for changing. You can practice yoga and go straight to work or at night go straight out on the town.

So what does yoga do for you ?
